5th place - young intermediate level - Elite Dance Challenge (EDC) regional - Sturbridge, MA
“This is the first dance I learned after moving to U.S. and after the COVID pandemic. I was nervous performing a Chinese dance in front of an audience made up of almost entirely Americans mainly because I was uncertain if they will like it, but I still walked on stage and danced. I earned a huge round of applause, which greatly encouraged me to continue my dance journey at U.S.”
On the Love of Lotus (2020)

This dance’s original name is “爱莲说.“ Based off of an ancient Chinese poem, this name represents the author’s admiration of lotus.
